terms of service

by using Hubbub (hubbub.se), you agree to these terms, provided by Webnation AB, registered in Sweden (EU). if you disagree, please do not use the service.

1. what Hubbub is

Hubbub is a live-presentation platform where you create interactive slides, polls, Q&A, and audience-response tools. we provide it "as is."

2. your account

when you register, you agree to:

  • provide accurate, complete, truthful information
  • keep your password and login credentials private
  • tell us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • accept full responsibility for your account activity

we may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

3. acceptable use

you may not use Hubbub to:

  • break the law or regulations in Sweden (EU) or your location
  • infringe intellectual property rights
  • harass, threaten, defame, or abuse others
  • send malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts
  • send spam, phishing, or unwanted commercial email
  • reverse-engineer or decompile the service
  • build a competing product using the service
  • scrape or bulk-download content without permission

violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

4. content & ownership

your content: you own everything you create and upload (slides, questions, exports). by using the service, you grant Webnation AB a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- display your content in the service
- store and back it up
- run security and abuse checks
- use anonymized, aggregated analytics from your content

we don't own your content. when you delete it, we delete it from our servers per the privacy policy.

audience submissions: when someone answers a poll, word-cloud question, Q&A, quip, or rating in your session, that response becomes part of that session's record. you (the creator) control the session record — you can display it, export it, or delete it. audience members have GDPR rights including erasure of any response that identifies them; they can request this by emailing info@webnation.se.

our content: Webnation AB owns all rights to the service, including code, design, and trademarks. you may not copy or redistribute it.

5. billing & subscriptions

free plan no cost, subject to 30 days' notice for discontinuation.

paid plans - auto-renew on your billing date - you authorize us to charge your payment method each cycle - cancel anytime via your billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period - we accept credit/debit cards via Stripe

14-day withdrawal right under swedish law, you may withdraw within 14 days of purchase if you haven't used substantial features. email info@webnation.se with "withdrawal request" in the subject line. include your account email. refunds go back to your payment method within 14 days. if you've used features beyond a trial, we may deduct a fair-use fee. after 14 days, paid subscriptions are final except as required by law.

cancellation & non-refundable subscriptions after the 14-day window, monthly and annual subscriptions are non-refundable. if we shut down the service permanently, we refund unused months on a pro-rata basis.

6. pricing changes

we may change prices with 30 days' notice. increases apply to renewals, not active periods. if you don't accept a price increase, cancel before it takes effect.

7. availability

we aim for reliability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. downtime may happen because of:
- scheduled maintenance (we'll warn you when possible)
- infrastructure issues
- security updates
- events beyond our control

we're not liable for downtime or data loss unless caused by our gross negligence.

8. your data

  • we back up your data daily; backups are kept for 30 days
  • we're not liable for loss caused by your deletion, malware, or password compromise
  • export important data regularly
  • after account deletion, your data is soft-deleted (recoverable) for 30 days, then permanently deleted

9. disclaimers

the service is provided "as is" and "as available."

Webnation AB disclaims all warranties, express or implied:
- merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement
- uninterrupted or error-free service
- accuracy or completeness of content

we don't warrant the service will meet your specific needs.

10. liability limits

under swedish law, Webnation AB's total liability for any claim arising from use of Hubbub shall not exceed the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months (or €100 if you paid nothing).

Webnation AB is not liable for:
- indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity
- damages from your violation of these terms
- downtime beyond our reasonable control

this cap applies even if we've been warned of the risk.

11. indemnification

you agree to hold harmless Webnation AB, its officers, and employees from claims, costs, or damages (including legal fees) from:
- your breach of these terms
- your violation of law
- your infringement of others' intellectual property rights
- your misuse of the service

12. termination

you may:
cancel your subscription anytime via your billing portal. no refund due unless within the 14-day withdrawal window.

we may:
suspend or terminate your account if:
- you breach these terms and don't fix it within 10 days of written notice
- you violate the law
- you commit fraud or abuse
- your payment fails
- law requires it

termination ends your service access immediately.

13. third-party services

Hubbub uses third-party services (Stripe, Resend, etc.). their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. we're not responsible for their performance.

14. disputes & jurisdiction

these terms are governed by Sweden (EU) law without regard to conflicts of law.

how to resolve disputes:

1. informal: email info@webnation.se and try to work it out
2. consumer board (sweden only): if you're a consumer, file a free claim with ARN (allmänna reklamationsnämnden) at www.arn.se or arn@arn.se
3. court: other disputes go to district court (tingsrätten) where Webnation AB is registered

non-consumer users may not bring class actions.

15. sanctions & export control

Hubbub is controlled by swedish and EU export rules. you may not use the service if you:
- are in a sanctioned country (north korea, iran, syria, crimea, etc.)
- are on a denied-party list (OFAC, EU sanctions, etc.)
- intend to use it for prohibited purposes (nuclear weapons, missiles, chemical/biological weapons)

16. entire agreement

these terms, together with our privacy policy and cookie policy, are the complete agreement between you and Webnation AB. prior agreements are replaced. if any term is invalid, the rest remain in effect.

17. severability

if a term is found unenforceable, we'll reform it minimally to make it valid. our failure to enforce a right doesn't waive it.

18. term changes

we may update these terms anytime. material changes are effective 30 days after notice. your continued use means you accept them. we'll email you for material changes.
